For this editorial,  the creative direction revolved around stark duality—not just in color, but in emotion, styling, and texture.

I styled both models in monochrome, using bold silhouettes and minimal yet intentional accessories: pearls for white, and gold jewellery to accentuate the black look, and net gloves, blazers, and statement eyewear to enhance the editorial edge. Working closely with the hair and makeup artist, we crafted complete looks that were distinct yet harmoniously balanced.

The backdrop design played a crucial role. For the black side, I repurposed large black trash bags, cutting and layering them to create a custom textured background and floor, avoiding a flat or lifeless black void. For the white setup, I went with a seamless high-key aesthetic—using a diffused studio light and flash photography to achieve a pure, clean white that had no impurities or shadows.

This project was about minimalism with impact—showing contrasts in a controlled, stripped-down visual world. It was one of the most precise and technically inventive styling and art direction projects.
