Designing the world of this sci-fi drama was one of the most fulfilling creative experiences I’ve had. With only three distinct locations, each representing stark class differences, I worked closely with the director to craft a subtle dystopian aesthetic—one that felt unique yet unmistakably Pakistani. From a broken, black-and-white home in complete despair to a forgotten yellow barbershop overtaken by nature, and finally, an extravagant, color-soaked mansion of an artist, every space told a story.

Finding real locations that matched our vision was nearly impossible, but that challenge became my greatest joy—I built these worlds from scratch, shaping every texture, every color, every detail to create something that didn’t exist before. The trust, creative freedom, and endless back-and-forth of ideas with the director made this process exhilarating. I poured everything into these sets, and seeing them come to life exactly as we envisioned was beyond rewarding. This film, its spaces, and its story will always be dear to me.
